Our annual networking conference was held in Hobart this year and we were thrilled to have a record number of members attend. Our group of 35 women enjoyed two days of exclusive distillery tours and tastings, conference presentations and social events. It’s the most valuable experience for our members and is a core objective for the AWDA.
Day One: Distillery Tours
We visited Overeem Distillery, Plan B Distillery, Spring Bay Distillery and Battery Point Distillery.
Our social event was held at Salamanca Whisky Bar, where the amazing staff created delicious cocktails and also hosted a tasting flights of whiskies from three of our member distilleries!
Day Two: Conference Day
Day Two was held at the beautiful Killara Distillery. We had a tour and tasting led by owner and distillery, Kristy Booth-Lark. The presentations across the day were on mental health, HR (hiring and managing staff), sustainability in distilleries and making a profit in our businesses.
